BIG HOLLYWOOD AND AMERICA'S NEWEST CITIZEN

My latest post on Big Hollywood just went up, and you can find it here.
It was ready to go more than a week ago, but the NEA and ACORN news was breaking, and Breitbart himself was breaking it. Big Hollywood and now Big Government were the driving forces behind the stories...so much so, that the mainstream media and -- finally -- the administration itself couldn't ignore them. (Hmmm...actually, it was the other way 'round -- first the administration, then the media, a validation of the State-Run Media meme.) So a backlog of posts were held up to cover these time-sensitive stories. The posts are back to normal now, so here it is.
I'm also happy to announce that my wife was sworn in as an American citizen last week on September 25, 2009. She studied her English and American history very hard and jumped through more than 8 years of immigration hoops to achieve her goal, and I'm very proud of her. Here's a shot of the ceremony, held at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena, at which 2300 were sworn in...
My wife is a remarkable person, and here's a short film I made this summer that describes her far better than I could in words...

Hey Russ, Just watched the video with your wife - your a lucky man. Then I read your "how I got kicked out of Hollywood" article... tough break. You know one of my favorite 80s films is CONAN the Barbarian (a John Milius) production - if you get a chance sometime see it (or see it again). Oddly enough there are a lot of parallels to the cult of personality we're going through now. Anyway, hope to see your film in the Theatre and thanks for the great work!

I would definitely be guilty of eating more cherries than putting them into the bucket - CONGRATS to your wife for all her hard work on becoming a LEGAL citizen!

Hello, MT!
My latest post has been done for some time now, but I've been sitting on it because it's...well, it's dull. I've been worrying over it for weeks, trying to figure out what to do to make it better. The problem is that everything I talk about in the post is very abstract -- and that makes for dull reading.
A few days ago, I decided to create a video to accompany the post. I've spent the past few days doing some tests, to make sure I have the hardware and software tools I need to get the video made. I'll finish testing this weekend, and start work next week on it. It's likely to take some time, but at the end I hope I create something entertaining to get my points across.
I'll post a heads-up here when it's nearing completion, but it's likely to take until early February to finish.
Anyway, it's good to hear from you and it is interest like yours that spurs me on to continue and complete Heroic Hollywood.

Can we expect a new post in the month of Feb?

Hello, MT --Alas, no February posting and I'll be hard-pressed to get anything up on Big Hollywood in March. This video business is turning out to be much more difficult than I anticipated, but I think it will be worth the wait. I've posted an update about my Heroic Hollywood series above.
I don't want this site to lie completely fallow while I work on the Big Hollywood stuff, so I'm going to try and post small bits and pieces on a regular basis. I usually over-write, so it will take some discipline to keep things short, so I can post regularly, but I'm going to give it a try. Thanks for your interest. I want to do a good job, and it just takes time. Despite the tone of the post above, I intend the videos to be truly informative and helpful to screenwriters. And yes, the Beta-Calculus Plot Point Paginating Engine really does make an appearance in my first video!
